KMSC Round 3, Scottish Superbike Championship

A weekend of hot weather and outstanding racing, The latest round of the 2024 Scottish Bike Racing Championship, This class has some superb racing and over the weekend it was the 600cc Championships that were the most intense races over the course of th event, From the Supersport 600 series to the Pre Injection 600s the racing was frantic,

Our Videographer CMC-Images was on sight to capture the event not only this weekend shooting for our Media Channel on Youtube but shooting for Charlie Reynolds in the Pre Injection 600 series for sponsors and race reports.

Charlies Race Report give a great first hand insite into the intensity of the weekend

“First off want to say well done to Ben Mcluskey (king of the hill this weekend )

Also want to have a massive shout out to my mum and dad and family for all help and Dougie Prentice and Liam Mackie for all your help this weekend

Also wanna thanks Rebecca Brownlee for coming to support me

What a race meeting Knockhill Racing Circuit put on

Mega crack with Duncan Vincent and Graeme Bodel as usual boys

Test day was mixed weather conditions meaning we didn’t really get any good lap times as the weather kept changing

Saturday warm up I was second fastest with a time of a 56.563 only 0.614 off p1

Qualifying didn’t really go to plan as I blew the bike up but still managed to put in some lap times in qualified 4th with a time of a 55.866

Race 1 I had to do on my wet bike seen as though my dry bike decided to blow up on me in qualifying however it decided to rain anyway Started 4th and managed to finish 5th

Race 2 again on my wet bike in the dry due to damage limitation I finished 6th with a time of a 58.826 as it decided to start drying up for this race!

During the day on Saturday my amazing dad drove home and back to get me a new engine so we could put it in the bike ready for Sunday and that’s exactly what we did Saturday night!

Sunday morning warm up I went out on my new engine and managed to come 2nd with a time of a 55.796 only 0.699 off p1

Sunday race 1 I finished 2nd with a time of a 54.811 on the sweet new engine

Race 2 I finished 3rd with my fastest time of the weekend, a 54.557!

Overall it was a good end to a challenging weekend! Thankyou to everyone for all the support and help as always!

A massive shout out to all my sponsors a can’t do it with out you lovely lot”

The superbike class was dominted all weekend by Declan Connell taking time away from competeing in the British National Superstock Championship and showing just how good some of the talent coming north of the border is.
