KMSC Final ROUND
WHERE CHAMPIONS ARE MADE……
What a weekend, Firstly the weather was Mid summer on Saturday and Winter on Sunday with some very overcast windy conditions, Lets begin with Saturday it was all on the line for our man Charlie Reynolds (No26 Yamaha, Pre Injection 600 class) as he was battling for the KMSC Championship this weekend and knew exactly what he needed to to to get that done.
In Qualifying for race 1 under glorious sunshine Charlie managed an outstanding lap time of 53.7 putting him second on the grid behind the rapid Brandon Russell who was unstaoppable through the weekend. Race 1 saw him drop back from the lead group who were putting in some really fast lap times throughout the race he managed to secure a 4th in Race 1.
Race 2 and the final race on Saturday was a hard fought battle between the top 4 but in the end Brandon Russell pushed his way to a second victory of the day followed by Ben Mcluskey and Charlie managed to secure a 3rd position and putting him in a very strog position going into sunday.
Sunday rolled in and se did the weather, Very chilly conditions greeted everyone on Sunday and but the action was sure to heat up with a few guests that decided to visit us, BSB Contender Rory Skinner on his test BMW 1000rr and British Supersport rider Oliver Barr joined us for some fun, Morning “Warm Ups” were definetley not warm saw the lap times drop off from the day before but none the less it was going to be a pretty exciting day with the championship on the line.
Race 3 on Sunday just after the lunch break the start was hard fought between Brandon Russell and Ben Mcluskey with Brandon winning the battle and taking a 3rd dominant victory of the weekend with 3rd being secured by Charlie Reynolds again another trophey in the bag and only 4 pints needed to win the championship going into race 4 and only needing to finish in the top 11.
Race 4 was all the same at the front with the top protagonists running away with the race but sitting tight and counting down the laps Charlie Reynolds secured the 2024 KMSC Championship in superb style ending with the huge burn out at the hairpin.
A massive well done from all of us here at Fast Lane News and out resident Videographer who has brought us all the amazing action for the season was on sight once again to capture this incredible moment and see how much it means to this family run Scottish Champions team.
