Grant Construction Rally 2024 Preview
As 2023 draws to a close it isnt long now until engines fire up in anger at the annual winter Grant Construction Rally at Knockhill Circuit in February. Over the years there has been a very varied weather conditions for the event including knee deep snow and -5* ice which makes it a very exciting event to attend. Running over the full site including the famous circuit itself and the surrounding roads of the circuit it really is a fun event to attend.
Over 50 drivers will be taking to the 8 challenging driving stages inside the venue with spectators witnessing over 90% of the stages can be seen from the centre of the circuit.
If you are missing the sound of engines and smell of petrol in your nostrals then this will brush off the winter blues with some high adrenaline rally action with some of the iconic rally machines including the screaming Metro 6r4 or the thunderous Subaru Boxer in the Impreza will brush off the Christmas and New Year hang overs.
So get yourself along for the opening round of the Scottish Tarmac Rally season, The Scottish Border Rally Championship, Border ecosse Club and new for 2024 the North of England tarmac championship to add to the action on the day.
Having attended the event it really has plent of action to keep you entertained. At any one time there can be 3-4 cars passing by on the circuit or on the permeter road and multiple cars and classes sharing the same piece of tarmac.
One of the special things with Knockhill is access to the paddock area where you can see the teams servicing the cars from stage to stage and follow the fast paces stress of getting cars ready for the next stage.
Ticket prices on the day are
Adult - £15
Teenagers (13-16) - £7
Under 12 - Free
First car will leave the start line at 9pm with gates opening at 8am
